In that case, I'd rather have a Supra. I think they look nicer then the 99-04's.

Why bother going to all the expense and customization, then ending up with a mongrel that only a few people would be interested in if you went to sell it.
You money and time would be better spent modding a 4.6/5.4. No matter how you dice it an engine with more displacement is ultimately going to make more HP.
BUT, to each his own, if you like it then go for it.

All that really matters is how deep your pockets are, the same and better results can be achieved with the 4.6/5.4 Mustang engines. If your pockets are deep enough you can buy a new Shelby that comes with 1000 HP and I have seen 4.6/5.4 engines that produce 2000 + HP.

Stuff like that is interesting, then you step back and wonder, why bother other than the novelty value.

Yeah, you can do anything with anything if you have a mind and the cash to do so.
There's a boatload of Mustangs and other vehicles in that range too, it just all depends on what you search or are looking for.

If money were no object I'd have Nelson Racing build me one of their Twin Mirrored Turbo 454 Ford engines that puts out 1600 HP and 1470 TQ in street trim & 2500 HP and 2000 TQ in race trim for my Mustang. Then I could say "I ain't afraid of no Supra!".

I'd probably have heart failure just pressing down on the throttle, sitting behind something like that.

haha wish you could do that in real life....I wonder how you could go get insurance on something like this? Would you put it under as a mustang or supra? I wonder if you could even get insurance on a 1600 hp car? might as well get you a jet engine for that much lol

I sure wouldn't "volunteer" the HP number to the insurance company.

yup, lucky my insurance guy is in Texas and all he wants is the VIN number lol.

But I was looking at the picture and I wonder what all kinds of mods would you have to do to make this work out of interest.

I don't know for sure, but I bet the wiring and fabbing would be extensive.

Nope, it wouldnt and you would be so far in debt that you couldnt sell it for what you put in it. I mean I can see if you pretty much had a shop and could do all of th work yourself with a little money for parts that you have to have.

Yep, Sadly that's the case with most one-off or oddball conversion projects, unless you get lucky and hit on building something really far out there that everyone loves.

Thats true, I've seen a guy driving around a honda civic hatchback with a 350 in it. Side exhaust and it was hitting hard man, it was a nice car and fast as crap.....I liked it but he was selling it for way too much or im willing to give. So there are good combos out there if you want to spend the money for.
