Tranny Swap

I purchased my 98GT with an automatic. All my previous vehicles have been manuals. After driving my GT for a couple of months, I have decided that I enjoy driving a manual much more.
Wondering how much work it would be to change to a 5 speed. OR if it is even possible.

First off, welcome!! Second, go do a search real quick. There are a couple threads ob here talking about an auto to manual swap. I believe you need ECU, tranny, crossmember, and driveshaft

JDF, thanks for the welcome. The treads are helpful. Didn't realize you could do a search on here. Now I know.
Makes sense that you would need a new ECU. That never occurred to me until you said something. Sounds like its going to take a little work and more cash than I anticipated. None the less I'm pretty sure it's something I will do in the future.
I have only restored cars from the 50's and 60's, all the electronic stuff is new to me. This will be my first modern project. So any help you can give is much appreciated.

No problem. Most people recommend selling the car and buying a manual instead just be aide of how much the swap costs.
