Best exhaust?

Just recently bought a 02 gt about a week or 2 ago an I'm looking to put new exhaust on it so it sounds better, right now it's just stock.. Any ideas on what to go with?

Re: Best exhaust?

Yeah its all about opinion, I like the way anything sounds, some guys like chambered some like straight through, go to youtube like venom said, but remeber the cameras rarely do the sound justice

Hop onto American Muscle and watch their exhaust videos, that should give you a good idea for sound.

I have flowmaster and I'm happy with that but, borla has teamed up with ford to recreate the original mustang sound.

Re: Best exhaust?

I'm running a Bassani mid length headers and O/R X-pipe with 2.5 MAC cat-back. Check the HD option as its sounds a bit better.

MAC cjponeyparts.con has it the cheapest and the cat backs are MAC also I got them from TREperformance but American muscle will price match.

Exhaust is mostly all preference. A lot of people will tell you they would easily sacrifice a few hp to get the best exhaust tone for their ears. The best way to pick out a setup is to obviously hear it in person. If that's not practical, check out some of the exhaust clips on our AM website, or go on YouTube to look up different set-ups. Everyone's opinion varies!

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

Shane
