Getting Seroius Thinking of V3 Vortech

Im starting to get pretty serious about looking into purchasing a V3 Vortech setup for my 02 GT. It is my DD and it has 93k miles on it but drives like brand new. I will do a conservative tune to it. So what kind of 1/4 mile times am I looking at? I have all bolt-on parts but just a stock gear. I'm not doing this mainly for going to the track I just want my car to be a bad ass street car.

If you get in the neighborhood of 370hp with stock gears you will be able to achieve mid to low 12's. I just did a 3.73 gear swap and would completely reccomend it with the blower. I expect mid-low 7's in the 1/8th with a good launch. That would equate to 11.2-11.7 in the 1/4

Dang that's more than what I thought it could do. I really just need to buy one. I want the v3 kit because it's self lubricating and more quiet.

Re: Getting Seroius Thinking of V3 Vortech

Yeah they are nice systems. I love my v1, it gets looks and compliments everywhere I go!!! And I like the oil system setup because it uses fresh, cool oil from the pan and keeps blower temps down, and that increases blower life. I also dont have the cheap rubber hoses and a punch hole in the pan. I upgraded it to braided steel lines and anodized fitting and then got a bung welded into my oil pan that the fitting screws into. It is a VERY nice upgrade. But the V3 are very nice as well, everyone has their own opinions. Some dont want to be as loud or noticable. However the V3 will get louder the longer you have it

a friend of mine has a 99 GT super low miles that he has a Vortech on, he dynos at 360rwhp not sure on tq but around that at 10psi. Thats about what to expect~ that would put you in the 12's in the quarter mile for sure.

I'd say 12.5 to 12.7 in the 1/4. I have a V3 and love it no problems with it so far. I put down around 350 rwhp with my set up.

Yea my cousin just bought a 06 BMW M5. It is really fast it has a V10 and a little over 500hp. I think if I got a supercharger it would hang with him. Motor Trend says the new one ( 2012 ) does a 12.6 in the 1/4.
