Oh they're good with 35watt and darker smoked lights they're a bit tough but not impossible. That's what I have go 55watt it's brighter!

Re: HIDs on headlights

I dont think your cobra fogs run an 899 or 880 like a gt would...i think yours use an h10....id pull out one of your fog bulbs and look at its part numbers before you complete your order. And i agree on 55w if you have dark headlights...but clear lenses id go 35w or else your gonna blind people big time...(neen there done that lol)

As for temp i like 6ks but 8k at the bluest because you loose visibility with anything above that

Did you do fogs? If so what did you go with you profile pic looks orange. I don't know if I should do matching or do my fogs in a different color. When I'm just driving around I always have my lights set to corners & fogs so I don't want to blind people just driving around.

Re: HIDs on headlights

In my avi the fogs are just stock...although in my last few stangs i added in hids...i did 55w 5ks to match my headlights in the first one. The last mustang i did 35w 3k yellow fogs to contrast my 6k headlights. Dont worry you wont blind anyone with your fogs on with hids.

I also run 55w 9007 Hi/lo 5000k with smoked headlamps and they are fine. My headlamps are custom painted though and are not as dark as the smoked lamps you can buy. I also had 5000k fog lamps. I changed out my front bumper to 03-04 cobra and went with Osram Slyvania silver stars in the cobra fogs they give a nice contrast to the HID headlamps

I would recommend 55w they illuminate the road much better

Re: HIDs on headlights

Id do 35w but thats just personal preference...if in a smoked housing id say 55w. I ran 55 in a stock housing and i felt it was too bright but then again i dont like being blinded so i eont intentionally blind others

Thanks guys so much, I'm gonna be setting down tonight and ordering these things just still on the fence about either getting matching colors or not for the fogs and headlights.

it's actually an import style, but yes "ricers" do tend to run this style. mainly because it's clean looking

@Runnwild...yes that combo would look ok
