What is the difference that the 2004 has than the 1999-2003?

Nothing i dont think, except a new engine block in 02 and a new transmition in 02..?...... I think.

There's a temperature sensor on the intake that isn't on the 03-04 I think. It's nice not having to drill a hole on a new cold air intake for the sensor

Don't quote me on this but I think ford fixed the cylinder he's thread issue by putting 7 or 8 threads in it.

1999-2001 and late 2001-2004 are different because..

Different Blocks/Intake Manifolds/Water Pumps Etc.
Different Transmission..
Different exterior.. sidescoops/spoiler/wheels
Different Interior.. Center console and dash..

just a good amount of things

The 04 has 8 thread Romeo heads and a stronger 4R75W trans rather than a 4R70W. I ALS believe they have the better lower intake with the aluminum thermostat housing but I think some 03 have them as well.
