Cool man got it.

Just trying to help guys and if I make comments that are all based on fact well, fact is fact so don't make a big deal about me pointing out facts.

And like I said we pay dang good money and I stand by my comments.

I'm not dogging anyone, sometimes the best get stumped too.

Southern I will be calling you shortly from the shop, lets see if the power of the web can help solve your problem and make couple new friends as well.

WheelStander, sorry if I miss-read your posts and thinking you were dogging southernstang's situation. I just knew he was having trouble, but also knew he was giving the Shop a chance to get things straight. Plus, I know Lowflyn would not have given him bad advice on the shop. Thanks for helping.

Just had a long talk with southern and my guy has some ideas.

Next up is tune with o2 off and good a/f info.

If its not fixed after Wednesday then my guy is going to talk with southern to help him out.

Good question. I'll ask.

Worse comes to worse I think my guy would be willing to talk to the tuner and two smart guys could probably figure it out between the two of them.

Found this just posted on the web:

Kenne bell bypass valve issue
So I just received my new built longblock with trickflow heads and stage 3 blower cams and I'm learning that the kb bypass valve causes lean condition in #5 cyl and throws off fuel trim,15% in my case. Can this be tuned around or am I going to have to swap cams? I've seen mixed comments on this and need some help...

Very interesting batman...

---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 PM ----------

Here is reply

Honestly you have 2 options with cams that big. 1 is to swap them out and install either smaller cams or a set of specific 2v cams from Tim of Mr. Norms garage.

2 is to re-locate the bypass valve. This guy did it along with porting his intake manifold. Ported Aluminum Intake Manifold. Doing this mod will allow you to keep your cams and completely releive your #5 cylinder issue.

---------- Post added at 12:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ----------

Not sure if related or not...

Sorry been busy but do you have anymore info on the relocating the bypass valve. I still havent heard back from the shop, but I also havent been able to call them with everything going on. Far as having the intake ported, KB flow tested them before the leave so I dont see where I would have a issue on one cyn if it was that.

Southern, I did a little searching around and I found something interesting , check out this thread and make sure you read the whole thing a rep from Kenne Bell and Tim from Modular Powerhouse both chime in , I think this may be your problem. http://www.modularfords.com/f73/idle...-valve-116454/

Good info Rm 360, def will keep that in mind. But here is something we found out today. John was looking at the voltage and so happen to check the volts directly coming out of the ALT. It was showing 16.3 volts, so he disconnect the ALT and the car ran fine. We hooked the ALT wire back on and the car started to idle and act crazy. Took the ALT off and went to the carquest to have it tested. The alt tested fine and even showed that it was putting out 14.5 on the bench test. So on the car is reversed rotation is the only difference I made to the ALT. So anyone want to chime in on this?

Seems like I remember hearing that something can cause the crank shaft sensor to act funny because of voltage noise? I was thinking it the alternator, but since yours checked out, maybe it's bad connections with it or ground problem?

well the ALT was bad because he changed it out with a brand new his friend had as a spare at his shop. The car ran find and no idle issues, soon as i get mine rebuilt and put on he is going to retune it. Reason for that is because with it putting out more volts then normal threw everything off. But if we still have problems CYN 5 im going to get a different bypass valve that opens easier then the one thats on it. After reading that link you posted I can rule out cams, because we arent having a issue with banks and the fuel trim and the guy has tuned many Mustangs with the same setup I have and even with a bigger cam and no issues. If it was a cam issue then you should see it on both banks or one bank alone and not just one cyn. Like someone said in the link, at low speeds the valve isnt opening and its causing air to be taken from five or thats how I understand in the link. KB does sell one that opens easier then the one I have. Its worth a shot and makes sense if you think about it because that valve is right by five

It would be a close race. The 250 isn't that fast really more like a fun small bike.

Yeah me too, can't wait to drive it, couldn't pick it up yesterday because the guy forgot to turn the pats off. My pats module is bad and I wasn't going to pay 600 plus to take it to ford so they turned it off a while back .
