Yea it sucks so once I get the kb on the car won't be moveable. Yeah, that's pretty much what I have to do but I told them it would be close to the end of Sept so I got a little time. The install will be a weekend thing so I'm not worried too much on that

It's better that way anyway because then you can be picky on how you run all your inter cooler lines and wiring and make it a nice clean install, so that's a plus

well right now I can tell you I paid 4586 for the KB kit, 380-400 for the 60LB injectors and roughly 375 for it to be tuned as of right now.

Ya that's the one , that hood is instant sexiness!!! Ok , so you got 5300 just into the kb, that's a really good price by the way, but one thing we are leaving out here is your block that you built!! You did it right!! I'm just gonna guess and say the bottom end parts and labor $3000?? So we are up to about 8500$ and that's not including bolt on's or fuel upgrades , we're talking 10 g's, point is if you are gonna build a car and do it right money shouldn't be an option, we do it for the love and fun our cars give us , you'll never see what you have into it anyway , it's for sport, it's a hobby!!

yeah I asked for a military discount and it was 5% and plus I think the average price would have been more if i went with the injectors it comes with and the chip.

Far as the engine build if you want to consider it in the factor then yea you are about right on that. I do beleave I paid 7 grand all together with the TF heads ( CNC ported), cams, and valve covers. So on average I saw 10G with bolts ons engine and etc. Far as labor the only labor was building the short block the rest i did including the stall. The engine is def built for a supercharger no doubt, but if you were going to rebuild the engine already in the car w/o upgraded heads i would say the range would be 3000-5000 on bolt on, fuel man, and etc. Im not sure what a forged stroker kit goes for to rebuild a engine.

Oh its def a hobby and for the sport but im no really building this car to go race it every weekend but instead as a toy to mess with ya know? As you can see im really into cars cuz i have three of them lol.

They told me they would sub the 60 lbs for free...Diff deals...not a fan.

And my dealer gave me that and polished for 4500.

Idk not liking the way kb does business.

IMHO.

Man i dunno, maybe the person you were talking to didnt know what they were doing? When did you call and get a price? Thats crazy bro, I hate to hear that. The kit was actually 4300 but I wanted the cold air and then shipping cost. I understand though, but you can go wrong with vortec either I was going to go with that v-3 kit but ive always wanted a KB.

Right on I'm with ya, same thoughts here.

Just talked to them 3 weeks ago, my guy is authorized kb dealer maybe that had something to do with the price.

Can't wait to see your results gonna be bad ***!

oh wow, im surpised bro maybe you just got ahold of someone that was having a bad day or not helpful cuz I just called them to see if they shipped mine. The guy was very helpful giving me the tracking number and even asked what all i had done to the car. I think the price had something to do with him being a dealer, maybe he was selling it to you close to how much he gets them for dunno.

Yeah I cant wait to see what it does too, hell all I know its going to be a sleeper car sorta cuz the car looks plain like a stock GT until I crank it up lol.

Um well I get the the KB Fri so I can have it on this weekend but I got to buy the 60LBS injectors which might be a week before I can cuz I havent started back to work yet. Then, they wont be able to tune it close to the end of the month so it def should be running the first of OCT.

I just watched the video and he has everything I have but I got a little more then he does but im auto though. I do have a stall though but i didnt think weight reduction would drop him from 13 flat to 12.77's. Im kinda intrested to see what it does just the way it sits, so I might take it to the track before the KB or maybe not lol.

Re: KB build-up thread..

Well it showed up around ten this morning and before I could even open the box I ran into a problem......The box was TOO dayum heavy to lift lol. The fedex guy was like yea I bet you have been waiting on this, he said if he didnt need his job he would have ran off with it lol. Hell, it two of use to get it up to the front door and I asked him if he would help me get it inside. Well he said yea until he saw a 100LBS pitbull and rot waiting for him at the door, he quickly changed his mind. I started laughing and told him its cool im going to take it out of the box piece by piece and bring it in. ITS AWESOME man....lol
