I mean a stock bullit with bolt ons ran 12.7
I've never been down the qtr but my 1/8th time converted to 11.8 on street tires but I will say it takes a WHOLE LOT to get from high 11s down into the 10s. I was making 9lbs of boost at the time.

Yeah I know its hard to get in the 10's, at the time when you ran it what all mods did you have?

honestly, if I get in the 11's I will be happy.

I had the blower at 9 psi, stock aftercooler, LTs, full exhaust, and a 70mm tb/plenum combo

---------- Post added at 01:48 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:45 AM ----------

Those times are pretty spot on Wheelstander. I can pull a car and a half on a stock termi from 35-100. I also forgot to mention I have 3.73 gears as well

We are close the same mods but o got a 75 mm tb,tf heads 274 or 278 cam.....and dyno tuned. So I'm sure that will help but I'm planning on going to 14 psi later.

Man, what a great looking unit ! So did it feel like Christmas in your house or what? Lol!! I have to agree with these guys you definatly have the potential to get into the 10's, do you have any suspension mods ? And do you have a manual or auto trans , ? What kind of problems do you think your gonna run into with the BAP set up?

haha yea, when I was opening the box up I was like YEA BUDDY lol. I agree im hoping im somewhere close to that if not I can deal with 11's. Suspension wise I have lowering springs and good shocks. The only think I might do with it is better sway bars, strut tower braces( if it fits), and rear adjustable control arms. The car is a automatic but has a 2800 stall in it. Far as problems with the BAP, I didnt see it had instructions until I read further into the booklet and found it.

Re: KB build-up thread..

Alrighty, I pretty much got the kit installed but I stopped for two reason: Injectors and EGR delete plate. But here is some stuff I had to do that to the block, we place the KB on the engine but found that there were to tower kinda things in the middle of the engine (see photo below). The only engine did not have them ( see photo below as well) so we have to do some grinding to make it look like the old engine, dont worry did not weaken the engine block or anything. So after we did that the KB went right on. Now, I have stopped for now because I have to make a EGR plate to put over the hole which I know I can buy for 40 bucks but its worth the shot in making one. I have placed some photos of befor and after shots along with the towers I was talking about. I have a few questions though.

1) What are the towers for and does this mean its a cobra block? Suggestions?

2) Kb recommends Denso Irdium plugs but I have Motorcraft DP plugs, am I ok or do I need to buy the Irdium plugs?

Re: KB build-up thread..

I was looking at some pics online and all the teksid blocks had the threaded towers. I think the 98 & 99's had teksid blocks, didn't they?

Man I don't have a clue, my cobra doesn't have it. But, you would think that when you ordered the kit from kenne bell, they wouldnt have a kit that says 96 -04 if the blocks were different in the years.

I know there are winsor blocks along with clevland blocks which where in the bullit but they are the same as far as the towers, they don't have them.

I'm just curious but we grinded the towers down to level with where the kb will fit.

I can't find any iron block pics But, windsor aluminun blocks have them too. That's whats in the Mach1's. Kinda wierd I can't find iron blocks to look at. I bet 32vNomad would know. Or at least maybe know if there will be a clearance prob with the KB.

Glad you are moving along in your build!

Aw, so since it has the "W" that means it is a Windsor block? Yeah, got the grinder out and cut and grinded om them until they were flush. The only thing I can think of is that it is a truck block, but its a new block so maybe they ordered the wrong one. Yeah, I'm moving along the only thing that's going to hold me up on getting it 100% is the injectors and egr delete plate.

Re: KB build-up thread..

ive gotten alot done on the car now, Ran all of the heater hoses and vac lines of which some I had to rig up myself since I dont have a EGR, map, or the other thingy lol. Made a homemade EGR delete plate, heater hose, and something else I forgot. Got the I/c resivoir in and going to install the i/c tom. The BAP is going to be a pain to install....Overrall I say im at 75% just waiting on the Fuel injectors, intake peice, and Fuel injector adaptors to come in. I say i will be completely done by the weekend.

Its cool man, we figured out that we would have to do that and looked into it to see if it was ok so we just started to grind away. Yeah I order the simens and they should be here tom or thurs. I want to run new plugs but the ones that are in it are Motorcraft Double Plat and they onyl have about 1K miles on them.

So you have a KB ? Have you ever installed the KB BAP before?

Yeah i saw lol...

When you did the hose work for the heater hoses and I/c hoses did you have to mod some of them? Or did you do exactly what they had in the directions? On mine I played it safe and instead of a bend in the hoses I use brass elbows to make it more a cleaner bend if you want to say...

I'm interested in seeing what you came up with , I ran my hoses and wiring as clean ad possible but I'm sure there was ways I could of did it better!! So how did you end up running the BAP? Did you do it the KB way or did you go with the upgrade that mzilla was talking about?

Re: KB build-up thread..

On the back of the supercharger where the I/c hoses go into the back I made up my own hose setup that went into their hose that came with the kit. I used brass elbows to make the hose have a better bend and water flow. I posted some pictures....

I like what you did using the elbows it looks like the flow will be more efficient , did you also have to trim the upper radiator hose? Mine was rubbing on the IC bottle!!! And your valve covers are nice I like them, are they metal or plastic?
