Sell 2 mustangs for a cobra?

One of my friends is selling his sonic blue cobra with 65k miles. It's in mint condition. He's asking 21k but he would sell it to me cheaper. I talked it over with my dad an he said I'd have to sell my 01 GT and 1969 Fastback. I don't know what to do help!

That fastback alone is worth keeping.
If that fastback is in mint condition, and a good engine it's worth 15-20 itself, I've seen many of them go for 20-25k around here that look as good as yours does. It's a rare car, keep it.

Re: Sell 2 mustangs for a cobra?

Looks like you made up your mind already and good choice! Later in life when you're more financially secure(I recall you being very young) you can opt to restore the '69, keep it for a weekend car, and buy a pretty nice Cobra for a DD.

That's crazy.. I'm saying to DD a Cobra in light of Weekend driving a '69. You'd have it made!

Or who knows.. You might just keep your GT and DD that and have two badass stangs (the '69 and Termi) to weekend!

Man, you're awfully young to have so much car(s). I hate to sound like a typical old **** but your parents must never tell you no. None the less the fastback is beautiful. Value aside, it's a work of art and I'd have one of those over a cobra any day.

Actually my dad had it for about 18 years and just recently gave it to me. & for the GT we got it for $3500 with everything(exhaust cai diablo chip eibach lowing springs) so it cost my parents pretty much nothing.

My first car was a $150 Datsun. $3,500 is a lot of money for a 17 year old. You've got some pretty awesome parents.

I bought my first car at 15 a 99 Chevy blazer 4x4 for $6,000 than I bought a 2011 ford ranger new right before I turned 18 and my mustang was $21,000 I bought it one day after I turned 19

My parents never gave me anything. If you work had you can get what you want just cuz somebody is young doesn't mean they had everything handed to them.

Agreed. I bought my jeep for $8000 when I was 17 sold it a year later after lifting it and doing a whole bunch of other stuff. Then bought my mustang for $11000 at 18 a few months ago. Pay for my car and all my mods by myself, just takes some hard work and you can have about anything you want, with some sacrifice of course.

Oh and keep the fastback that thing is sweeeeeet.

My first vehicle I drove for five years. Bought it for $6500 when I was 14. I bought it; yep! Had a ton of great memories and drove the hell put of it. And basically rebuilt it as I went along. Taught me a lot about cars!

My first car was a 96 Ford Probe GT and then I bought a 88 Mustang LX 5.0 to play with. Wish I still had the 88 it was so fun plus gas was only $0.98 a gallon too!

I love how we jacked this thread into a first car thread. Lol, now let's morph it into our first gas prices thread. Yeah, when I first started driving gas was just under a buck a gallon. I remember a few years later gas went up to a whopping $1.50 per gallon and people were going mad. Talking about alternate transportation, trying to boycott fueling up on certain days. It was quite laughable.
