Top end speed 4:10?

Hey,
Thinking of installing 4:10 gears over 3:73. Have a 5 speed 03 gt and was wondering how much (approx) top end speed I would lose.
I've read a lot of the posts on this site in regards to highway vs city driving, mpg ect But never came across top end speed loss. I know I will lose some, but approx how much.

Thanks

Read up the thread in ColeJohnsons signature. It has some good info about gears. You will actually have a better top end, in higher gears. Due to the better torque multiplication of 4.10s you will actually feel a better pull in fourth and fifth compared to the stock gears

4.10 are the way to go Ive got 25 mpg in my car with 4.10 also took .4 tenths of my quarter mile, and don't worry about top end or top speed the top speed for 4.10 is 181 @ 6250 rpm but itd take somewhere around 550 horsepower to go that fast.. and 3.73 top speed is 199 @ 6250. So pretty much 4.10s are the way To go. I choose 4.10 and couldn't be any happier! No regrets at all.

+1 And check the threads in my signature.

My top speed has been 147mph in my relatively stock 2002 GT with 4.10s. Stock gears 3.27 fastest I got it up to was about 125ish.

Good luck! And remember that gears are a top-end limiter only in high-horsepower applications. And on the same token.. When will you ever be able to go over 150mph? At a drag strip I know 900rwhp+cars that can only trap like 145. Hah.
