That's just it, you don't see it.

"yes I do look down on sixxers."

"take it how u want."

People aren't asking you to like or prefer their car over yours or "V8's", they are just hopeing you can respect there choice, or lack there of. Just saying.

It's all in the respect for the cars. I've seen some REALLY good looking v6's with a LOT of time and money put into them. It's still a mustang and I love mustangs

Since we're all being honest, I just have to say, I look down on all cars that I haven't passed gas in. I'm afraid it's true! If I haven't released my precious methane into the cushion of your seat I look down on your car. Sorry, but it's just how I feel. Take it how you want.

My very first car was a 67 coupe straight 6, then a 68 coupe 200 straight 6. Sold that and moved up to a 1970 Fastback with a 302 V8 2 barrel carb. Next I bought a brand new 82 HO GT, The first of the 5.0's. In between I had a couple of Saabs including a 79 Turbo. My last Mustang in my 20's was a 1970 Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland, Hurst 4 speed, factory hood scoop etc. I sold it when my daughter was born back in 1985 fully restored for $2800 Doh! Then last year after she was married we bought the Cobra. We then joined the local Mustang Club. The Berks County Mustang Car Club, on the web and Facebook. As a new member I carry their business cards with me and either put them on many Mustangs to invited them to join, or if I see the owner, I personally invited them to join. I don't care if they have 1 or 2 exhaust pipes. If the car looks like the owner has pride in their ride, we are glad to have them as a member.

We have members with Shelby's, Roush, Saleen and everyday daily drivers. We have Fox Body members with 4 bangers, 4 cylinder turbos, a member with a1970 Fastback that looks like a Mach 1 until you lift the hood and there's a straight 6!. We are also open to Ford enthusiast so we have some Capris, a Mercury Merkur with a Turbo 4. SVT Contours, Focus, and Ford Pick ups. There's even a Mustang II Cobra II with a V6 not the 8. It recently won Best of Show at a car show.

Bottom line we welcome and love all Mustang Owners who take pride in their ride. As a Cobra owner I have felt looked down upon by owners of the 2003-4 Terminator Cobras. They do seem to have a Superior attitude. So that's my take on this thread from here in Reading, PA. Spiney-Dave
well said sir!!!

Re: Has anyone noticed?

By making this thread labeling 2011+ owners it solidifies the fact that you v6 guys are really a bunch of ****** bags.....

Not really but you can see how one would assume that you yourself are in the same category as your so called nose in the air 2011+ owners.

I liked maros and stangs both, until the 93 came out. They never recovered. The new one reminds me of a caddy XLR.

Not me, I like all mustangs(except the mustang II). Anyone looking down on someone because the car they drive is a tool. Further, anyone who looks down on someone because the YEAR of the car they drive is a complete tool. All of the guys I hang with in the mustang club have all different years and range from V6's to GT500's with 700+ HP.

I guess what I'm saying is, "It's all good in my hood", and anyone who isnt kewl with that aint worth chatting with anyways!!

I was just at a Camaro vs Mustang race day at Atco Dragway in NJ. There were all years of Mustangs represented and 1 Mustang II. a mid 70's notchback with a V8. It was Bracket racing. When I left that little Mustang II was in the finals. He very well represented the breed. Also there were newer GT's and Shelby's running in the 14-15's. The driver has a lot to do with the speed of a car in drag racing. Those Shelby's should have been in the 12's all day long.

From top to bottom, here's something you don't see every day a true Ford Blue Shelby 1967 GT-350 parked in the pits next to a V-8 Mustang II. On the drag strip the Mustang II was .25 seconds faster than the Shelby. Shelby's from that period were made for road racing not drag racing, though they did make a few special drag cars. Also the Shelby was probably heavier.

Next 2 a brand new 2013 GT gutted and caged for racing and a 2012 Shelby having their blowers cooled off between race rounds. These were both brought there by Evolution Performance. They told me the 2013 GT weighed 3750lb. That's a thousand more than a 1965 Shelby GT-350 with roll cage.

Last one the old Shelby had some torque lifting the front wheels up on every launch. Could have used some traction bars.

Go to ATCO Raceway for more info. I've got lots of pics from that day.

The Mustang lost. There were 2 very fast VW's. The Tan one ran in the 11's at close to 140mph

The black car is a 1979 Ford Granada ESS with a 302 HO engine in it. It was a very nice car and one you rarely still see on the road. I owned one back around 83.

Some VWs are sleeper. My friend had one with a Porsche 944 engine stuffed in it and it was crazy fast and loud!

I've beat some 5.0s and Camaro SS at the track in my 4.6. I know that it's mostly all bad drivers thinking that all u need is a fast car lol. One guy in a 2013 when the light turned green I could hear him spinning halfway down the track and yea, he was behind me lol.
