SUPERCHARGEEEE

Okay, so after a bit of work... We've got shorty heads, Air intake, plenum spacer, Throttle Body, 3.73s blah blah blah... Someone tell me a good basic supercharger/sc kit i can run on my 03 gt. I'll put the charger on, and then get it dyno tuned professionally.

The best thing to do is research the different superchargers and make your decision based on your goals and how you want your supercharger to work , you will get different opinions from people all day on what's " best" to run , in the end it's what do you want . I run a KB and also don't have any problems.

Re: SUPERCHARGEEEE

Im just going for a slight boost on a limited budget. While I'd love a KB... arent they crazy high in price? And did you just bolt it on? Or what did you do to prep your car for the extra stress?

Im 18 in college working in fast food, and I want a faster car, but I wanna do it cheap. Im no trying to break 500 hp or nothing... Just like over 400 ish. Im about 300 rwhp now, and my car hasnt been tuned. Im looking for something I can pretty much just bolt on with what I've got... A plenum spacer, shorty heads, 78mm TB, CAI, and then 3.73's.

More like 260-270 rwhp. I have long tubes and full exhuast & CAI and tune, but no TB/pleneum and I laid down 263. TB and plenum is good for maybe 10 rwhp. Most guys with our cars run about 225-230 stock and with supercharger 400 is easily attainable, but most seem more like 360-370 tuned. 373s are great, but no power is added. Just FYI.

The price of the KB is a bit higher than most , a centri setup is the cheapest route ( vortech) you can find used kits for around 2500-3000$ . Before I did my supercharger I did long tube headers ( Shortys don flow enough) with full exhaust and upgraded my fuel pump with an avaitior pump with KB boost a pump , and some rear suspension mods . The KB kit is a bolt on kit it takes about 10 hrs to install I'm putting out 360 rwhp with a consertive tune

Cheap, reliable, fast. Pick two. That's the way it works. Now you can get a nice vortech kit for around $3000 but that is about as "cheap" as it get
