Hood latch ?

Any one ever have this problem with after market hood ? That's where it latches

Is the hood already latched? Is the other side like that too?

Yeah 3/4 inch up I attempted to fab up a recessed latch but so far that was a fail . I removed the latch while I was getting my lines all straight and it fit perfect put it back and this is what I got . Any ideas?

I ordered some I wanted to use the center latch too.

What kinda pins did you order? Primer2tone had a some flush mount setup that looked killer. I haven't seen this setup on a new edge yet, bit I bet it would be awesome looking. I like our hoods.

I ordered daystar hood pins only because they have polyurethane grommets. Their theory is it won't crack fiberglass hoods
