Idle Issues

My 2004 GT has 143000 miles and has always run Great ! Just recently, it started to die upon idle, (braking), but only when warmed up. I can keep it running by hitting the gas, when I see the tach start to jump erratically and drop below 500, but I hear a "clunk" sound when I do that.
Ideas?? Suggestions? Thoughts?

I've had this problem before. Change your IAC module. It's on front of the throttle body. Has 2 screws and the 1 inch vacuum line

Try cleaning it with carb cleaner first. I've had this before and it solved the problem. Just spray the **** out of it.

If its not in terrible shape, you can clean it to get you by until you have enough to buy a new one. Carb or throttle body cleaner will work. Just don't get the connector wet.
