I think it's totally ridiculous that your insurance won't cover you because you didn't hit the deer. I mean come on insurance people. Your natural reaction is to avoid the 200lb object in the middle of the road.

For everything you would need except a fuel pump I'd need to get 3500. It's a polished headunit with aftercooler setup. It has a huge upgraded heat exchanger, upgraded cobra coolant pump, vortech maxflow race valve, power pipe and 3 pulleys. Will also come every nut, clamp, fitting, etc. there are other pieces I'm missing but It would be a very nice kit

One time my dad hit a deer in his 95 corvette. Luckily the only damage it did was knock out a headlight. It was one of those pop up ones though so it still cost a pretty penny

My wife works in insurance and she told me you would probably be screwed since you didn't actually hit the deer. This was over the weekend and she told me to let you know, but I could not post what she said. I didn't have the heart. Plus I was hoping she was wrong. Damn sorry to hear this news.

Cody did you only have liability insurance? I had the same thing happen to me in my wife's Lexus but fortunately I clipped the Deers *** before I hit the tree head on. The insurance adjuster looked for deer fur and we found some in my headlamp. If we hadn't found the hair I would have been charged with an at fault accident. I have alot of auto collision and insurance background if you have any questions pm me

And I know that doesn't help your situation. But hopefully it makes you feel a little better knowing people are thinking of you and your Mustang.

Thanks guys. It's nice to know people out there care. Unfortunately I only have comprehensive coverage and I didn't clip the deer at all. The car is at the frame shop now so I'll keep everyone up to date

Re: Stupid deer!!!

Well guys the blower kit is up for sale... I HATE to do it but I think it is going to be my best bet to get everything fixed and get my car back on the road without going into debt. So if you all, or anyone you know, are looking for an amazing, COMPLETE kit let me know!

Some times it's best you didn't hit the deer though at my shop we have a brand new f250 some one hit a deer so hard it damn near totaled it pushed the bumper and radiator into the engine. That was on a big truck imagine what it would do to a mustang. You should call the frame shop that it's at and ask for a print out of a before and after to see how much it was damaged and how much they straightened it cuz it can affect the alignment.

Re: Stupid deer!!!

Well guys just an update on the car... I went to the bank to consider a loan and being 21 years old I dont have enough credit yet. My parents came to my apartment and checked everything out. They are going to loan me the money for the repairs with the agreement that I pay them the same monthly payments that I would have paid the bank. Then when my blower sells I will pay them off and thankfully be out of this mess debt free. I have shopped around and ordered my 03 cobra, new fender, and new door for $680 shipped to my door! I was thrilled to say the least lol. The car went up on a frame rack and needs about 8 hours of pulling to get it back in shape. The front end is pushed to the left and up a good bit. Thankfully they said it would be no issue and that they would be able to straighten it good as new. (FINGERS CROSSED!) Next on my agenda is to shop around and get a couple estimates on what shops will charge me to do the touch up body work and paint once the frame is straight and I replace the body panels myself. Thanks for everyones concerns! Ill keep you all up to date!

Well guys just an update. Ive got all the parts in but the bezels and the driver door. Once the last couple things get here then it will be off to the body shop.

NOW- I need help!! I'm debating between ordering the Saleen spoiler and just relocating the stock one. Both have pros and cons. The Saleen looks sweet with my hood and a cobra bumper, but everyone says the install and fitment is a NIGHTMARE and I really don't want to spend that kind of money and not be happy. On the other hand moving the stock one back a couple inches is really a nice touch, plus it's a FREE mod. And since I already know I like the spoiler on the car I don't have to be concerned with changing my mind later

I personally like just moving it back. That's what I did to mine.

I'm thinking about putting it back as far as I can without exposing the original mounting holes. That way I have no fill work to do

I also like moving the stock one back ,would look good , I know you said you didn't want to do any fill work but our cars look beautiful without the spoiler, with your cowl hood and and spoiler delete IMO instant bad a$$!!!

See I think that the cowl hood plus cobra bumper with out a spoiler makes the back look naked and plain

Honeycomb panel between tail lights???? Lol!!! I know what your saying tho it does look a bit plain but tinted tail lights and windows really help , I'm not a big fan of our spoilers if I had a couple hundred to just throw away I'd have the 03-04 cobra rear spoiler
