need some help.

My 03 GT makes a whining/humming noise during quick acceleration and turning at any speed. I believe it shld be from differential which I checked today for appropriate fluid level. I managed to put in half a quart so I'm assuming that's all it needed cuz I did spill a good amount. I didn't have the car on a lift considering I was at home at hoqme

I was at home I used jack stands to hold up the rear end. I drove after checking fluid and didn't hum so much at acceleration but still on turns. Any one have any pointers on what might be wrong. Thanks

If adding some fluid helped, try changing the fluid completely. May have gone bad. If that doesn't help then check wheel bearings.
