I'd just order from eBay you'll get your kit in a matter of days It'll be weeks before u get your ddm kit and it's the same as the cheap eBay kits

Re: DDM hid lights

what would you like to know...i've been dealing with DDM for years

---------- Post added at 12:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:39 AM ----------

you'll need 9007 bulbs...either a single beam kit or hi/lo kit...that's up to you

i run a 6k because i like a tinge of blue, but if you want white then look into a 4700

Look at the charts from what colors you want

..3000k(yellow) 6000k is closest to white( which is what I have because it gives you the most road visibility.) And it goes up to like 12,000k which I believe is purple, and even higher.

And I went with the 55 watt ballast, just so I could emit the brightest light out of my HIDs.

Also, to find what bulbs you need, they have a site you can click on to put in your car info to get your bulb number( if you don't already know.)

Hope this helps.

Does anybody really know if you need to have the high low beam set? Has anyone ran it a problem with just having the low beams?

As far as a combo, are you meaning at a discounted price? Because they sell your fogs, lows and highs but you have to pay for each set. And as far as slim ballast go... Honestly not to sure... Mine came with the slim ballast ...

I have the 8000k set from DDM but I had the high low kit before I switched to my aftermarket headlights. Because I had the harness that came with the hi/low kit I was able to modify it so that I could have my HIDs for low beams and use the standard H1 bulbs that came with the headlights for high beams. The standard bulb type for the cars factory lights are 9006's I believe. So if u plan on getting aftermarket projector headlights then all you would have to do is buy the bulbs to fit them. Mine use a H1 style. Hope this helps!

Re: DDM hid lights

ok for me i just run a low beam setup....i use to have a hi/lo kit but honestly i never even needed the high beams even with my lights aimed super low.

i run the standard DDM raptor kit...i've had both the 55w and 35w kit's...in an oem housing 35w's are good and bright...in a tinted housing i'd reccomend 55ws

Re: DDM hid lights

I ordered a set of DDM for my wife's 2011 Edge (can see if they also fit yours as I have them uninstalled)

you just need the bulb size, and go with 65w for headlights 35w for fogs~

you want to spend 12.50 for the harness as well.

You want slim ballasts FYI. Its rather easy to install for some reason the edge would have the lights cut out, not sure why~ probably didnt like the hook up for some reason so I just removed them.

yes and no...they come with a female harness in that'll connect to your oem male headlight harness...the only thing that you have to do is slide the wire ends through the female harness....it's pretty self explanitory when you see it for the first time

if you wire them up wrong they won't turn on....in that case just play around with the wires till you get it right. the ground wire is pretty clear on both the oem harness and the ddm one so that's good if you need me to tomorrow i'll pop my headlights off and snap pics if you get in a bind.
