Poor shipped quality

So my shocks and struts came in today and I was less than satisfied with the condition they are in. I'm sure it isn't AM's fault, it would be the UPS. The boxes were torn up and one of them is dented up pretty bad and I'm not entire comfortable putting it on my car.

You should definitely RMA those parts. I wouldn't even bother trying to make them work. UPS might ship them back and return the new ones for free. It's worth checking into it, at least. =)

Re: Poor shipped quality

Ouch! You need to contact both UPS and AM and let them know what happened. Maybe you can get some love for your trouble. Go off about it, but stay professional. They might give you something that's worth a little more that is in stock, or give you a discount and speedy delivery once it's in stock. I'm not saying they will for sure, but sometimes companies do things like that in order to keep your business.

I called AM and the guy gave me the number to the company iPhone so I could send them a picture so they could file UPS damage. They said they should be able to replace it next week when they get more of those shocks shipped to them.

Re: Poor shipped quality

That sucks bro AM will fix it for you though don't worry. When I receive a package like that in the condition you received yours. I tell the UPS/FedEx to wait till I open it before signing. If it's damaged like yours I refuse it.

Re: Poor shipped quality

My tokico d-spec were pretty roughed up when I got them but I just went ahead and used them.. D: I took those pics when I took them outta the box. All chipped up and junk. Last couple of pics is of the messed up one versus new-ish one.

When I ordered my Cai from AM the package showed up in perfect condition. I opened it to another story. The tubing was bent out of place from several places. The tube that hooks up to my MAF sensor where the 4 bolts go was so out of shape. I had to take some tools and straighten everything to make it wrk. Wasn't happy about the quality of a product I recieved. Makes me think twice about ordering online and just get all performance parts through my work.

There's an AM moderator on the forum. But I would send it back. That's not ups, that is warehouse damage. It happens, shipping places the responsibility on the owner. Install them and your screwed. Call AM hotline then return them as is. Box the original carton too. Ask for a discount, call it pain and suffering, extra work to ship, delayed install plans etc.
