Transmission

So my 4th gear has quit all together now. I'm looking at either a rebuild or buying a new transmission, which would be better/cost less? Car has 162k miles so it could certainly use it

Just rebuild it.

I rebuilt mine. Replaced clutch, synchro, fork pads, and all synchros all for around 700 dollars.

If its a auto and you have money i would buy new,,and get one upgraded to handle more power,,that way if add stuff the tranny will b able to handle it

How much am I looking at for both options? Gonna end up getting a new clutch while the tran is already out
