A Corvette ZR1 will dominate a GT500. In everything.

Some people are into that whole domination thing. I'm not one of them jk jk

While I love the look and style of the gt500 I feel like I would have more fun in a boss with some 4.30 gears. 650hp is cool but 440 na hp is even better.

They don't make the ford gt's anymore but unless the driver sucks then hell no, a zr1 would kill a gt500 and that's a fact and not An opinion

Re: Just saying!

Man, I had a bad *** Corvette, sold it to a guy in Florida about 5 years ago and bought my current 99 Gt 35th Anny Edition.

Had that Vette for like about 10 years, car was never driven in the rain, just flawless triple black vert.

Dude in Fla has taken state trophy in stock class the past 5 years. Beautiful ride, fast(you could get into some real trouble getting on the throttle) all the creature comforts and overall just a bad *** ride.

After about 5 years I pretty much was not a fan driving it anymore-Vettes are like driving a go kart.

Note: This coming from a die-hard Chevy apologist too.

I more happy today with where my GT is at than I ever was with my Vette. And I'll be adding a SC soon so the fun factor is only going up from here.

My Stang, just more fun to own from every aspect, modding to driving and everything in between.

The Zr1 owns Ford GTs too. Maybe if Firs would ever make a current GT with all the new advances then it'd be a different story.. But ZR1 is sick.

That's a quick stang. And good driver mod.

Still saying a ZR1 owns GT500s.

I don't see a GT500 with mods as being in your argument. I know civics that run low 9s but I'll never say a civic is better than a corvette.

My statement still stands.

Well they wouldn't put it on the Internet if it wouldn't true lmao nah but doesn't the stock gt500 and a stock z06 both runs mid 11s around 125, pretty good for weighing 500 ish pounds over a z06. I bleed ford blue and not picking any car over a stang much less a gt500

I would trade my mustang for a 'vette 2001 and newer in a heartbeat. They are performance machines and LSx engines are pretty amazing.

The new coyote engines have definitely closed the gap a lot though. Ford has definitely became a lot more competitive as of late. And the reason I went with a stang instead of a 'vette was simply because the aftermarket community was just so much more exciting and diverse.

When I start making more money then you can bet your butt I'll be buying a z06. I'll also keep my GT though because I really do love it.

I will admit the new Z06 and ZR1 are pretty amazing cars but face it that old pushrod stuff is so outdated. The new coyote motor is so much more advanced. I have owned both Mustangs, Cobras, and Corvettes. The Mustang is the best bang for the buck period. Nothing makes me feel better when I spank a Corvette owners ***!!

I don't agree with pushrod motors being outdated, I've had two, three, and 4 valve mustangs and a **** load of pushrod 5.0ho's. They are cheap, reliable and will always be around

+1 i love a push rod motor, so much simpler to me, and you cant beat the sound, although i do like the way the new 5.0 sound.

Same here! There is nothing better than pulling up to a light next to a $20,000+ corvette and having the owner bust out laughing at you for revving at him. Then all he sees is taillights!! And then at the next light they always seem to not be in as good of a mood as they were before. And it makes it even better knowing I have not even half the money invested
