Is ford lying to me?

Called ford customer care today about the cracked intake on my 2000 gt and was told after I gave my vin number that I recalls were found past or present for my car. After what I've seen on the forums and stuff I can't help but feel lied to. Any suggestions as to what I do next, apart from just fixing the car myself?

Try a local dealer, CarFax or even google..
Never had a dealer try to beat me out of recall before. Honda changed my oil, spark plugs, wires and cap and button when I took it in for a wheel bearing and drive axel(96 Civic DX).

That's unimpressive

Try your local Ford dealership. When the recall came out I had a 98 and I took it in and they replaced it for free. I do know that only certain vehicles had the recall. It wasn't just all 4.6L. I would double check with a dealership though.
