Strut bar

K so I got this off Craigslist super cheap but doesn't have any mounting hardware to mount it to my 02 gt aka Sally. Can anybody help me out here. No brand name stamped or anything

That's a 94-98 GT convertible premium/Cobra strut brace. I have one stock on my vert.

Strut tower has to be tapped to accept 10mm bolts. Have the nuts welded from inside the tower if you can. Mine are factory installed. Better yet, get an after market mod, could be cheaper.

No it won't work and I think I know who u got it from and I told him it wouldnt fit his that's why he sold it

it takes 20 minutes to drill the holes and put it on...if you don't want it send it my way lol and i'll slap it on my sixxer

i just made a spacer to put between the back of the bar and that flange on the fire wall sitting about an inch below it..drilled a couple holes in that flange and bolted it down

What size bolts did you use
Mine used 10mm that are about 1" long at the fire wall, and 1.5" long at the struts. Mind you you should try to get the receiving mounting nuts welded inside the tower, which means removing front struts and springs.

Also, check throttle body clearance before you begin any work!!

I just changed my plenum and added a spacer and now it won't fit so I'm going to sell it now. I'll probably try and fab my own strut bar now

not too hard...or go to any trailer company and give them the specs of what you want. they can bend one up in a jiffy for cheap
