Motor Oil and Filter

Hi! I just bought a 2000 Mustang GT. What's the best oil and filter to use? I'm new to Fords and Mustang so I need advise. Thanks!

Fords use 5/20. Go Syntech. Helps with the close tolerances and engine temps.k

I use Royal Purple 5w-30. I also know two professional engine builders that only use Valvoline VR1.

Oil you will hear a different opinion from everyone.

Motorcraft 820s is the only oil filter you should use period.

I use royal purple in the cobra, mobil 1 in the gt.

Re: Motor Oil and Filter

I have been using the K&N oil filter with RP 5W-20 for the past few times, but decided to go with the Motorcraft 820S oil filter this time. I don't think the K&N is bad at all, I've just heard a lot of good things about the stock filter. Plus, it'll save me a little cash.
