Jack your car up, mark you driveshaft. Rotate your wheels one time. Count how many times your driveshaft rotates per one turn of the wheels. If it rotates 4.1 times you have 4.10 gears. 3.7=3.73 etc. you can either get a speedo recalibration box which wires into the tranny (about $80), or a tuner (about $400). I would suggest the tuner. Much better for future mods.

You might have oversized tires. If you had shorter gears you would be going slower then your speedo reads..

When I had my 4.10s installed I was off by 10mph. You will be spinning higher rpm but traveling slower with steeper gears.

But only spinning higher RPM to the tune of maybe 400rpm versus stock 3.27. it doesn't hurt anything.
