Tires

Currently have 245/45 zr17 size tires on my car. Need 2 tires right now and found a good deal on some 225/50 zr17. What's the size difference in these two sizes?

the latter is skinnier, but has a higher profile.
usually wider is better, provides more traction which equals better handling.
Just don't over do it

It was three for about 70 bucks. They were used but in decent shape. I probably won't get em.

Just get the same size tire to replace the ones you need

+1

You can check out a rotational calculator and MPH calculator on Discounttitesdirect.com. That would tell you if your rmp's are off pending on comparing tire sizes.
