X pipe hook ups

On most of the x pipes I see online it says you need shorty headers for it to hook up, but I've heard a lot of people bolting them to the stock manifolds no trouble. Does it vary from different x pipes or is that just no issue for any of them?

Umm shorty headers are the same size as stock manifolds so you should be good bolting them on. It's on longtubes were you would need a matching mid pipe which is shorter
