Different turbo question

So my family has a box track that has a diesel turbo in it. My question is can I make it work in a 02 gt. I've seen them done with out changing the motor and staying on regular gas

Most diesel turbos are not going to be the most efficient on your motor due to wheel size and a/r. On top of that the flanges are sometimes alittle weird so a lot of custom work would be in order. Which i guess you'll already be removing the internal wastegate and welding in a plate inside the housing. Just might be more work than its worth versus just buying the right turbo for your setup
