Misfire

The whole left side of my engine isn't firing, any idea what it can be?

Maybe a ground issue if one whole bank isn't firing or bad power feed to coils.

+12V power to the COPs is all supplied by the same source, 30A fuse #26 in the battery junction box, through the PCM power relay in the CCRM.

OP, by "left" do you mean the driver's side (just checking to be sure)?

With the key on, engine off, check for +12V at the red wire on the COPs and the red wire at the injectors...

Check the ground cable that looks like a boot that goes on a stud on the fuel rail

Not to imply that that the ground connection is not important; however, and quite counter-intuitively because of its location, it happens that it is ground G101--the ground for the AC clutch field coil:





On to the OP's problem: Assuming all bank 2 (driver's side) cylinders have compression (something to check if the electrical test does not reveal that +12V is available at the red wires of the COPs and the injectors at KOEO) then the problem lies in in wiring between the all four "other" wires at each injector and/or four "other" wires at each COP; and the PCM.

The PCM controls the "ground" connection at each COP to cause it to charge (dwell) and discharge, and at each injector to cause it to open and inject fuel. This is done with MOSFET transistors and though rare it could be all four for either the injectors and/or COPs died at once.

Having an entire bank not firing should be something easy to trace...

That is the right side of the engine, cylinder bank 1, cylinder 1 is the frontmost. Right and left are always "as seen from the driver's seat".

There are no "ground wire" issues that would prevent just one bank of COPs or injectors from doing their thing. They are fed +12V from the sources I described previously, and "switched" to ground by the PCM to activate--each COP and injector has a dedicated "ground" wire that runs directly to the PCM.

You need to check for +12V on the red wire at each COP and fuel injector, with the key on and engine off.

Has any work been done on the car recently?

U know.....maybe it might be relative but i had this happen to me on a land rover at work all one side was down kinda had codes for all cylinder 1,3,5,7 ended up bwing a maf sensor as well as clogged cats. Might be relative to ur situation or might not but its worth the suggestions atleast to help u resolve ur problem

I would do like said above on checking to see if you have power at the COP and injectors because like said above too the computer controls the ground and power to those two areas. So if you got power to both areas then its some else talking to the computer and not a ground issue. Check them on both banks and if you are getting power to one side and not the other then maybe an issue with the ecm. Try disconnecting the battery for an hour to reset the computer and see what it does.

I was having a similar issue but I was getting power to both sides and injectors/ plugs but the car would not run. Come find out the antitheft module went bad and was telling the computer not allow the engine to run. The bad thing wad the theft light was not indicating there was a problem so maybe try a spare key other then the one you are using right now.

It's throwing p1130 p1131 p1150 and p0136 my mechanic says it has spark fuel good compression it's just not firing at all on that side, I had gotten rod knock so I got my engine swapped, it's a used engine with 50,000 miles

P0136 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2)

there are the descriptions. Imo try replacing your upstream and downstream o2 sensors, and just in case that could fail, clean your maf sensor, cause a faulty maf can cause those codes as well. Im sure someone else will chime in on it, but i had it happen to me on a land rover as i stated earlier......land rover=ford -_- just like a jaguar lol.

Look them up here to see what the shop manual says about those codes, including possible causes and diagnostic tips. All but the P0136 code, which is for the rear sensor on bank 1, have the same possible causes as P1130.

Work the list of possible causes from the top down, before just running out and spending money. It is unusual that the sensors on both banks would fail at once so I would concentrate on electrical, air and exhaust leaks, PCV etc. before buying new sensors.

You can bench test the sensors with a propane torch and a multimeter--here's how...

My guess is you are going to find a bad ground or loose connection from the engine swap.
