Getting ready for nitrous!

So I was messing around on craigslist this last week and came across a nitrous add and clicked on it. Little did I know it was gonna be the best deal ever! Im getting the full kit. plus a bottle warmer and a window switch all for $450.00 All i need is a purge valve. Now you guys come in. I need you guys to list all the other mods necessary to make this system reach its max potential WHILE RUNNING ON 100 SHOT! what kinda spark plugs do i need? should i get a bigger TB? the list goes on and on so leave your opinions!

Are you getting the TPS switch also? That is a must if you are running Nitrous.

You will need to do some tuning to ensure it runs properly and you don't get a nitrous backfire that may destroy your intake and possibly your car.
The plugs will need to be 1-2 steps colder and you will need to pull some timing out so it doesn't detonate.
A bigger TB may be beneficial as well.

Here's what you don't want to do.

Wet or dry kit? Brand? Zex makes a nice kit that has a built in full throttle switch and fuel pressure cut off safety. If its a wet kit the tune really just needs to cut timing to make it safe. Dry requires timing cut and more fuel to be sprayed vmthru injectors. You will want a window switch and purge as well. Honestly that deal isnt all that great. Kits can be picked up pretty cheap used. Zex is by far easiest safest setup for our cars though and only add ons needed for it are purge and window switch

As far as plugs run ngk tr6

Its a wet zex kit and comes with a throttle position sensor, bottle warmer, and a traction control switch. All i need is the purge valve. If i have bama send me a tune for the nitrous will that take care of the timing?!

I bought a cold fusion kit off ebay brand new for $283 dollars! Came with all the nitrous lines, wiring kit, bottle, bottle brackets, sylinoid and window switch, and gets from 25shot to 100shot! I couldnt be more pleased with the kit itself great deal for what comes with it and its BRAND NEW in the box! Id definatly check it out.

Did you install a kit yourself? And who tuned it?

Really? I've seen a video on YouTube and seems easy. I'm just worried about the tuning and not having my motor blow up.

Cold fusion nitrous or 03 mustang nitrous it will come up on both, and the tuning really isnt much to worry about man if u get a wet kit Bama tunes can tune it for you but if you get dry youll need it dyno tuned to get the air and fuel mixtures right, and then buy u 1-2 steps colder plugs and youll be a-okay! I wouldnt do nothing over 100 shot on a stock motor though, thts all im running and u can really feel it kick!

So if I were to run a couple drags this weekend at the track with 75 shot would I be safe even though its not tuned yet?

Me personally i wouldnt spray my car until it was tuned, if you have a livewire tuner you can actually pull the timing out yourself thats what i did and thats all bama tunes will do. You can spray it with out it tuned it could last a long time and it could last a day so id say tune it first, your motor will last a lot longer.

Some manufacturer used to make a small kit that required no tuning, but I don't remember which one it was. If all else fails read the instructions and recommendations applicable to your kit to be safe.
