Chirping clutch

Got a chirp coming from somewhere but I found that if my foot is completely off the clutch it chirps but If I barely lay some weight on it OT goes away? Any hell?

yup Throwout bearing, good time to replace the entire clutch as the trans has to come out to fix.

Its not going to blow up or anything but you need to have it looked at sooner than later.

You can manually take up slack in your clutch to help it for a bit. Push in clutch with left hand, hold right on clutch quadrant (above gas petal you can see it move with the clutch going in/out

Hold tension on the quadrant as you slowly let out on the clutch. It will make a noticeable "click" do that a couple times, petal should be firmer at the top. You want a half inch of pushing in the clutch before the rpms slip.

To test go 45-55 hold gas steady and ease in clutch, if you go more than 1/2 an inch before the rpms jump up you are good.

Ok I'll haw to do that when I get home. And I guess like you said go ahead and replace the whole clutch. Any suggestions on the whole clutch set up? As far as brands and stages and stuff?

Yeah... mine's doing the same thing at the moment... but the motor is being pulled this weekend anyways, so I'm re-doing my clutch setup anyways...

I have a Centerforce Dual friction... really like it. I hear good things about HDX too. Pilot bearing and Throwout bearing are cheap on MMR!

I'm ordering my whole cam/exhaust setup from MMR, as well as the 2 bearing listed above... Good luck! That chirping is annoying, so I feel your pain!
