Ac compressor

Anyone ever have one go out does it wine or is it just the belt tensioner

Mine went out yesterday I took it out and bought the ac bypass pully from autozone

I think when the ac compressor goes out it locks up.

If it gets to that point yes it will lock up but when it starts to go bad it makes a lot a Nasty noises lol

I wish mine would've made noises, it just suddenly locked up, tore my fan belt and damaged a pulley along the way

Mine is on its way out. It wines a lot and seems to really drag on the motor and still blows cool air but not really cold like it should.

I would say replace it as soon as possible. My locked up without any warning and caused some damage to the timing cover.

Ya I will soon. I hardly ever run my air anyways mainly because of this problem

The noise I was hearing I believe was a combo of bad belt and water pump replaced belt no noise hope that's it
