Oil is coming out my rear diferential !

Hey guys, I need your help.

I just notice my car is leaking oil from the rear diferential on the bottom.
What do you guys think is happening ?

It has 88k miles and I just bought it so I don't know any history of repairs, oh is manual in case if it matters

Probably a gasket clean it all off and then look to see wheres it leaking from

Probably just a Gasket. Replace it. That's what I'm doing next week for the same thing. Noticed a few drops on my garage floor.

Check the fluid level..If its not dripping its prob hasnt lost alot..Probably just a gasket like eveyone said...I always reseal with silicone..

Bur from where in your diff? If its coning from the front is the pinion seal and if only on you bottom then its you diff seal

The oil is not coming from the bottom of the cover I just had a good look and is coming from around the part that joint to the u joint of the drive shaft

So what that means? Is it a bigger problem ?

Your going to have to take the drive shaft off take off the thing the drive shaft bolts to on your rear end and theres a seal that needs to be replaced I'm pretty sure its called the pinion seal. Just look it up on youtube and I'm sure you would be able to do it with the right tools

Last I had the stock cover, I dumped the gasket and used just RTV. It worked. If your so worried put a little oil in the diff or have it changed, it's about time too. No worries. Just drive. If it dripping to the ground, replace the gear oil while resealing the cover properly. No worries.

Thanks that was exactly what it was.
I didn't do it cause I can't do mechanics but I took it to a shop here in Orlando fl powered by ford and they charge me $160

Thanks for the help!
