My new 04 gt exhaust questions

Havent been around in a while due to me being in the military just. I just purchased me a 04 gt 100% stock. Im starting with the exhaust. Im out in cali so i have to keep it emissions friendly. Heres what i want, im looking for lt headers, what ever is best for the price. Ill need a catted h pipe and i want flowmasters. Im looking for a very aggressive sound. Im not too familiar with exhaust systems so idk what i can use and cant use, whether i can mix and match brands or if i need to keep it all the same. Basically looking for someone to tell me exactly what i need for the whole setup. Im looking to keep it as close to a grand as possible.
Thanks
Billy

Long tubes for sure aren't legal and I'm almost positive shortys aren't even legal in Cali. Flows won't give you the very aggressive sound you want with cats. Go with lm1, magnapacks or a similar resonator cat back if you want cats. As far as h pipe or x pipe, it's up to which sound you want. But you should get an louder catback if you are going to keep cats and want a very aggressive sound

I have the Slp's stock everything else and they have a nice loud sound especially wit WOT and gears I'd say 3.73 but that's my opinion

Yeah no I have no x or h pipe and I get lots of compliments installing an x pipe today but other than that their decent sounding and with the hears I know plenty of ppl with that ratio ans it runs tremendously

Do it!.. I used to be active duty and was stationed in Luisiana where they also have emissions testing!.. I was one of the few that didn't have to have my car tested because it was registered in Michigan!.. Lol.

No LTs are legal, but shorties are if they are CARB compliant. And anything you do after the cats is legal

LTs are not legal. And there's not very many carb compliant shorties.

Would the slp high flow cats be worth it in yalls opinion? Or would money be better invested in something else?

Catted o/r x pipe and s type or lm1 will be your best bet. You will be plenty loud enough plus sounds the best with those two options. Oh and get the heck out of dodge! That emotions crap is ridiculous there...

Lm1's and an o/r x pipe is an insane combo the slp's alone are a pretty loud catback and with that x pipe dear lord get ready to wake the town lol I just recently installed my o/r x on my lm1's and its a night and day difference without cats

I mean yes it's loud but it's not going to be as loud as let's say open headers. The point is for it to sound loud but still maintain that aggressive muscle car tone and slps defiantly don't maintain that sound they have zero tone to them! Get this! And alright I'll post the link to it!

I mean yes it's opinionated but I have had them and switched to borla the drone is bad they sound good at first but eventually just the loudness will get annoying. It's had no tone at all. Borla however is perfect if you want to sound good and not be loud as f@&$ you can be but I'd you wana wake some people up and turn heads a little push on the gas will deffiantly do it man! Trust me slp is basically straight pipe.
