Latemodelrestoration has a gauge pod set-up. That's what I have. Somebody else on here has a mustang logo.

Mine has a little storage compartment there. I bought it like that so I don't know where it came from.

SAME HEADUNIT, I hate it btw hahaha, but yes when I had my 99 v6 it had the same exact empty compartment underneath, it's where the stock CD player used to be and the top is just a fm/am radio..I purchased a compartment and it just popped in, held my CDs/cigarettes/lighter etc.

Costs like $14. Good fit. Just need extra 3M or gorilla tape

I got storage compartment with a door so my sunglasses are hidden. Stereo shops may very well have what you are looking for.

Yea I taped it. It comes with small pieces of double sided tape but it's bad quality and not enough. It won't stay in without tape.

I'm wondering if u could put lit piano hinge on plate so it would flip up. Then u could still have storage behind it. That's what I'm going to try to do.

It wouldn't be worth all the labor compared to the amount of sound you would get to small of a speaker would have to be like a tweeter

That'd be easy to put couple tweeters in there. I almost done it, had it all layed out, then changed my mind. I used 1/4" underlayment board. Tweets should be around ear level so I figured it a waste. But it would've looked good and different.
