Aluminum vs Stainless Steel X-pipes??

For an X-pipe, is it worth spending about $150 more for a Stainless Steel X-pipe vs aluminum? I am going to purchase a catted bassani x-pipe. One thing to note is that I dont plan on having this car forever...

I would love to save $150 if not really needed.

Please let me know what you think.

not needed but i would pay it any day... stainless is far superior to alum... it is essentially all in the name... it will pretty much ALWAYS stay the same for YEARS

Re: Aluminum vs Stainless Steel X-pipes??

I've had my aluminum X-pipe for about 3 years now. It has some rust on it where the AC condensation drips down onto it...but that is it.

If you have no intensions to keep the car, get the aluminum. It will last you a good while...like I Said, I'm at 3 years going on 4 and it pretty much looks the same today as it did the day I installed it...just a little dirtier. And this is my daily driver, so it sees plenty of road time and rain.

SS is the best but alum is fine if you dont mind potential for rust etc etc
