Hey everyone,

This is something g I have been looking into a lot lately as I am looking to upgrade my fox, I went with American Thunder and Super 44s.

Flow aster actually has a comparison on YouTube. Just type in "Flowmaster Muffler Comparison" and the first 3 hits are all about 5 minutes. They rev an engine with each muffler to show you the sound. You can clearly hear the difference from 44s, 40s, and 10s.

As far as mid pipes go, with LT's I would go with X pipes. They generally create more horsepower than H and OR applications, although it may not be significant. Flow is better, and overall performance is greater with X pipes, in my opinion.

Hope that helps,
Jonathan

Yea there high but are made very very well, and the sound is like no other in my opinion, I'm running a bassani off road X/pipe with Borla S- type with high flow cats it sounds amazing.
As for flowmasters I think there a great bang for the buck their a good price at a good sound, my only issue is down here alot of people have rust issues with them.

The higher the number the quieter the muffler with flows. 10's are basically race mufflers. They are almost basically a little box. I've got a set of 10's to go on my DOHC swap car. O/R H pipe and tails. So we shall see. But I've heard the 10's are overbearing loud for a street car. Just depends on your preference.

LOL Well this car isn't something to drive everyday anyways. So I'm not concerned about that. This car will be a weekend toy anyways. I've heard a cobra with the 10's on it and I liked it. But we shall see

Why do some people pair the super 10s with a 40 series muffler?

Everyone has their own opinion on Pipe brands but I really like the Bassani I think it's a good mix of X and H pipe it's not to raspy but has a nice muscle car sound. I bet yours sounds amazing hooked up with the 44s!!

Yup I love mine, I run high flow cats too which helps with the Raspy a little. My opinion I think it's a perfect in between.
