If if this normal but when I got my gt it had a noise coming from inside the shifter and it came back I mean you can't notice it with the music on or anything bit just wondering if that could be a problem?

Do you have a short throw shifter in it? Or any aftermarket shifter.

Yea with stock shifter you shouldn't hear much coming from there. Tbe aftermarket one its normal to hear stuff. Might take a video and post it.

Okay I will try and take one this week! I hear the most when I'm in 5th gear though it goes away once I hit 65 to 70 and it can get annoying

Does the noise persist throughout the rpms or only at lower rpms? Its normal to hear noise from the shifter if you are at a lower rpms. Shouldn't hear anything the higher the rpms go.

Try putting a little bit of trans fluid in it and see if it goes away.

I just changed my tranny fluid it was doing it before I changed it as well...figured maybe it was overfilled a bit cuz I had the notchy 1-2 cold shift on my tremec-3650..so I filled with 3.2 quarts of Mobil 1 atf (what I've been told that's exactly what tremec recommends)

How many miles is on the car. Also it might be a worn out clutch/pressure plate.

Yea mine will make a few grrrr noises if I shift early and is heard more while its cold. Try shifting later as in letting your rpms go higher between shifts.

Okay I will try that when I'm driving normal I usually shift at or before 2500 rpm so maybe I'll try shifting after the 2500

I would recommend checking to see if you have an aftermarket shifter first. You may be surprised the p.o. put one in and that's the reason to it all. I have a pro 5.0 and it makes a "grrrr" sound at low rpms, but at low speeds and a high gear (Ex: 15 mph in 3rd gear) too.

Got the same one. I rarely notice it, but it's always there people in my car notice it.
