HID questions

Ok, so i know little about HID kits. My questions are what do i need to install them, do i need any electric upgrades such as alternator etc, are all headlights/fog lights compatible with HID kits, and any other information would b VERY appreciated

Absolutely and while we were at it we might as well install a new starter, and replace the headlight fluid. (Just kidding)

Nope you don't need anything more than just the ballasts, the relays and the lights.
They are completely plug and play. I called up a friend who had done it before, and we knocked it out really quick.

I went with 6,000 HIDs from Sonic Electronix and they are perfect!

Just go on ebay that's where I got mine. They were like 30 bucks for a pair. And yes they are very bright. I just need to do the fogs now but if you smoke them out and put HIDS you should be fine.

I'm sure my opinion is well known by many people.

But... I recommend against hid kits installed in halogen housings.

Another fact you need to know is it is illegal and dangerous to install a hid setup in a halogen housing.

He only post his hate on HIDs on EVERY THREAD! An not one person has listen to him, HIDs are great for smoked headlights I have NEVER heard of anyone getting a ticket for HIDs.
It's your car man you do what makes you happy, I couldn't see well at night with smoked headlights I bought my HIDs and now it's great!

No problem at all bro, no my fogs are clear.
I never really worried about buying smoked fogs cause you can't really see them anyway unless you kneel down and look so I just left them the clear stocks.

You would really have to be kneeling down and looking to notice there not smoked. I did have a set of headlight that were really dark then I bought my new ones but the HIDs made night driving so much better. Here's a few pics of the old ones and new ones.
Last 3 are the new ones first 2 are the old ones.

I wouldn't I think it's kinda a waste of money but that's just my opinion since its really not noticeable, I bought some new staggered FR500s about 11 months ago I was on stock bold tires I was sliding every where in the rain. Now I have 9" fronts and 10 1/2 rear such a great mod gives style and performance I can really get the power to the ground now.

You must be sitting in 17's I was thinking 18's for myself and the fr500's are what I want too and I love when it rains! I was drifting like a boss haha! But whenever I race from a dig I really gotta ease that clutch for traction all thru 3rd gear lol
