Plasti-Dip - cold?

I left my cans in the trunk overnight and they got cold, do I need to wait til they warm up to use them?

Once they get to room temp they'll be fine.

Where can you buy plasti-dip? And how hard would it be to do the decklid panel?

You can get it at any local auto store. And the decklid panel shouldn't be very hard to do

Get some tape and tape off where you want to line to be and you lots of newspaper to protect from overspray.

Correct. But you don't want overspray. It's not really noticeable but still creates ruff patches on your paint. It peels off easy after you put 3-4 coats on.

And on black paint it's not gonna be much put a flat black finish.

Buy plasti dip at home depot or lowes. Yes the stuff peels right off. The thicker you put it on, the easier it pulls off. The reason is because if it's thin, when you're pulling on the plasti dip it will rip into smaller pieces. Still comes off fine just takes a bit longer. The thicker it is, it stays together better so when you pull it off you can pull it off just about all in one piece. Plasti dip is simple to use, tape off whatever your gonna spray just like you would if you were painting something. Try to keep over spray off things but if you get some over spray it will come right off so dont worry. One thing to remember when you spray this stuff is once your done, be sure to peel the tape while the plasti dip is still wet because once it dries it will stick to the tape. So when you pull the tape off it will take off the plasti dip too. Check out dipyourcar.com they have YouTube videos showing you how to use the stuff and have a FAQ section.

Wow thank you lol you are really helpful! Ill check out a couple of videos and then I'm sure ill be good to go. One more question? How much will plasti-dip look different on a black car? I am thinking about doing my rear valance, deck panel and wing

It will look good. I love black cars with flat black on them. I'm not how to answer your question. Like do you want to know if you will be able to see the plasti dip on you black car? Yes you will. Plasti dip is flat black and you car is glossy black. You will be happy with the results I'm sure and if you're not... Then pull it off lol. The stuff is only about $5 a can so u won't be wasting much money if you do pull it off. Also wash the area good you're gonna spray then after you wash it. Get a paper towel and wipe the area with rubbing alcohol to make sure the plasti dip sticks well. I know I said "stick" but don't worry it will peel off later with ease lol. Here's a random Internet pic of flat black on a black car so you have an idea

I have my deck lid, valance, wing and hood scoop painted with plasti. It's in my pictures if you want to see how plasti dip looks even tho my car is red.

Lol thanks. I really liked it. But dip is just temporary and it was getting crappy and I didn't want to leave it on there for a long time that way I didn't stick hard and be a pain to get off.
