plenum spacer

Is this a gimmick? Or is it actually worth the $20 I spent on it?

I'm going to upgrade tb/plenum too but was wondering about the spacer. I'm getting the trick for plenum tb combo, 75mm. With those 3 thing will I feel a difference?

You will feel bit of a difference in HP, but mostly in the throttle response!.. Throw in a tuner into it and you'll notice a bigger difference!..

I've heard that 5.0 magazine tested the spacer and after install of the spacer it was a tenth a second slower. Idk if its true or not but its what I've heard.

---------- Post added at 10:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:48 AM ----------

I had a sr racing spacer I think it gave me maybe 5 horsepower or something really small. I took it off though cause now I have a 75mm tb/p

You wouldn't want the spacer to go along with tb/plenum?

I go to a 1000 foot track without the 75mm tb/p but with the spacer I ran a 10.72 with the 75mm tb/p but without the spacer I ran 10.65 so idk I need to put it back on and test it out so I can find out the real truth behind it to see if it does add horsepower most people say it doesn't do anything I wanna find out.

Oh my 75 is amazing I love it the throttle it is so sensitive now I love it!

---------- Post added at 11:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:28 AM ----------

Ill put on the spacer and tell you how it feels. 75mm tb/p is way better than the spacer but ill try the spacer with the 75 and tell you how it goes. I'm sure it'll be okay.

So I put it on managed to break one of my bolts that bolt the plenum down to the manifolds! Yay! Ill have to go back and drill it out. But with the spacer and 75mm tb/p I could tell a difference. Not very big but enough difference I'm keeping it on. And I'll official test her out in January when the track opens see if I can get that 10.65 down with the spacer I think It will.

It's a 5 speed manual. I did move my battery to the back, removed ac to free up pulley's, I took out spare and jack. No suspension mods or anything.

---------- Post added at 08:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------

I did remove front sway bar. Hmm yeah that's it.

The TB bolts into the manifold inserts are 10 inch pounds so you don't snap anymore bolts. Buy a torque wrench, or go buy a Chevy! Hah!
