I just picked up an 01 GT. It needs a new clutch cable. I want anything I put back on this car to be as close to OEM as possible. Below are the two cables Im dealing with, one has a gold colored metal cup the other looks like a fishing weigth with a ball on the end. Any problems with either? I know the gold colored one is OEM type, but i can find it, everybody shows it that way in pics, but it comes with the silver ball type setup.Ive tried the AC/Delco from Rockauto, and just got an ATP. The ATP has the ball end, the delco ended up being an adjustable, sent that back. I really want the one on the right. And get this, my local dealer says my car does not have a clutch cable

I only know manuals. The one on the left looks like for a manual. The other looks same but with firewall adapter included.

Correction, the right one looks like maybe an auto trams cable. I don't know till I look it up. Is your car manual or auto?

Its a 5 speed T-45. they are both for manual, notice the same connection at the pedal. I think I may have found one on Ebay.

I found it! Although more expensive. Part number XR3Z - 7535 - CA in case anyones interested.
