So i was wondering with a tr-360 and 3.73 what rpm i would be at around 65 mph, i saw the video with the 4.10's but that cant be, my car right now stock is a 2000rpm at 65 his said 2000rpm at 65 with 4.10's any one have any input?
With my 3.73's I run 70mph 2150rpm about 2k at 65mph
are you sure that you have a stock diff?? I know I dont i installed mine, but did you by car new. a quick check is to jack the rear up (both wheels) and spin the wheels on full turn and check the driveshaft. it should almost turn 4 times with 3.73's and 3.25 turns with 3.27's
I will have to check it out, i got the car from an older couple and they said the car was bone stock but ill just have to jack it up and take a look. Thanks guys
A way to check what gears you have, have the car stationary and then check how much the driveshaft moves per wheel rotation. With 3.73s the driveshaft should make 3 and about 3/4 turns at the point that the wheels make 1 full rotation.
Go easy on them. 15 miles, stop to cool, do it again, stop to coo diff, take it slow. Maybe 100 miles at normal street. It normal for old style gears, not modern tech, but be careful still. Break em in slowly.
