puttin 20s on it

So I again am looking at some problems with my planning on this project. Its a 98 gt and I would like to put a set of 20s on it. So Im wondering if there would be a point to lower it or if you even can. If I can what would be the best choice of attack.

Re: puttin 20s on it

you wont be able to lower it much if at all as 20s are just to bit forthepre 99 stangs~ they dont have the large wheel area like the 05+ so they look good.

Re: puttin 20s on it

your best bet is 18" and lower it. 20s might look a bit too big.

I love big wheels but don't think they would fit well on your car

Re: puttin 20s on it

18s seem to be the unspoken limit on 94-04 stangs. Take fox bodies for instance (79-93) 17s are about the limit on them~ some do 18s but thats pushing it.

Re: puttin 20s on it

yaya, it was a fixer-upper cosmetically when i got it. i just wanted to show that the car fit 20" rims on it and that was with stock springs. it looks a million times better w/ the 17x9 & 17x10.5 but some people do like the big rims.

I thought the fully non-functional hood and roof scoop were amazing. And the fact that vtec would kick in with the motor.... since you know.... mustangs have that good ol' vtac.

Dub dueces or better is how i ride. Some people are jus dumb, if ya want to ride high get an impala or some gangsta garbage like that, dont ruin a mustang by putting big rims on it.
