1994 Mustang GT Performance Chip Question ?

I am thinking about getting this performance chip (http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-4-...uter-chip.html) I have 2 questions about it though. 1.) Is it worth is it ? Will I notice the difference, and 2.) How do you switch tunes ? Is there a switch that comes with it ?

I have a 1994 Mustang GT Convertible Automatic with shorty headers on it

If your car is stock you definitely will *not* see a 20-30 HP increase. For a stock engine 10-15 HP is the most you can expect. By themselves tuners and chips don't do a whole lot. Where they do shine is when they are used in conjunction with other modifications, provided you have specific tune written or chip burned for your specific car. The vast majority of the time a chip or tuner will require the use of premium fuel, but this is to be expected since the chip/tuner typically changes the timing and/or spark advance, making 91 or 93 octane necessary.

well if its anything like a diesel chip it comes with a little switch or nob you will see about 20-30 hp more and better gas milage so if your going for performance its a good deal considering a cold air intake kits give you 10-15 hp for the same price.

i dont think it would be worth it. for the price of a chip you could put gears in and make a world of difference. or an exhaust.

It must not be that good, the page doesn't exist anymore.

If you want better performance from a dig, (which is where those cars are really lacking) you need a higher stall torque converter.
