Can a 6r80 fit in a 2002 mustang?

Im trying 2 take up automotive and I have n 02 mustang im trying 2 make a project

Can a 6r80 fit in a 2002 mustang?

You can make it fit, it will bolt up to the engine. The 6R80 uses a very complex computer that wont talk to the other computers in your car though so controlling it would be difficult.

I have not seen it done yet and only doubt it based on that experience, knowing that the modular V8 engine since 2005 is a completely different casting and size from the old 302. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_6R_transmission
