A decent tune will produce meaningful and worthwhile gains on a dead stock New-Edge GT.
The stock tune sucks, with milquetoast ignition timing and running rich ('99 to '01 with the
19 lb/h orange injectors), to pig-rich ('02 to '04 with the 21 lb/h orange injectors) in open-loop at high loads and WOT.
A tune/tuner should be the first mod anyone with a New-Edge does, second only to opening up the exhaust. It will also allow you to correct the speedometer after doing the next worthwhile mod--final drive gears...

Originally Posted by RUNNWLD I am puttin my info in for the tuner what doe it mean by launch rev limiter? | The tune is our cars can be setup to provide a "2-step" rev-limiter. When set up in this manner you can mash the throttle to the floor in neutral and the engine speed will rise to a preset limit, say 3500 rpm, and stay there--this is the "step-1" rev limit. When you release the clutch and the car starts to move the 1st step limit is released and the "normal" rev-limit speed becomes active. Here is how it is set up in the tune.
You need to decide what to speed you would like to have it set, it depends on your engine's power, gearing, and traction...

You're going to love the different between our Bama custom tune and stock. Like stated above, the stock tune runs really rich with minimum timing, so there's a good bit to gain. Plus, it comes in handy when you add more bolt-on mods in the future!
Also, were you able to get in contact with our Customer Service easily and get your order number? I see you're filling out the info now, so I hope you were taking care of promptly!
Enjoy the Bama SF3 tuner when it arrives. Let me know if you have any questions about it!

Add it to your cart and check out. It will be listed as $0. Check out like you would a normal order, you won't get charged anything. After you check out, you'll get an email with an order number. Go to BAMA's website, enter the order number and your info. Then you'll get an updated tune(s)
