X or H the tough choice :(

Got LT headers for my 01 GT. Also with flowmasters 40s. All i need now is the midpipe. I know H deepens while X rasps it. Such a hard choice . Any opinions? Also thinking of putting super 10s on instead of 40s.

I had 40's on mine already so two weeks ago I had put on o/r x pipe by BBK and it sounded too raspy I thought. After two weeks it sounds deeper and less raspy. You going to have to see YouTube clips on 40's & 10's. do you like the tone on your 40's? 10's are way louder!

X pipe sounds like a race car growl and H pipe sounds like a more muscle car beast!

You are in the same place I was in. Now decide H or X! Keep the 40's for now and see if you like it. You will

Watch this, and I'm sure you will be persuaded towards the H pipe. This is my brother's car.

Why we all mustang heads won't be satisfied with the exhaust we put $$$ into? We are always looking for a better sound........it keeps going and going and going,etc........

Bassani O/R X is the best sounding Midpipe IMO, combine that with either Borla Stingers or Bassani Catback and you have one sexy growl.

That's the sound i want to get out of mine when i get it... But you don't have to get the full $700 catback from AM, you could get the mufflers from Bassani and have a muffler shop do the rest, should be a lot cheaper.

I know they list their different mufflers on the sight, not sure if you can buy them directly like that though... The muffler shop should be able to get their hands on them though.

I believe this is the one on AMs sight, cause its got the offset/offset inlet and outlet

You honestly can't go wrong with either of them. Both sound incredibly sick! It's just a matter of opinion. I have magnflow off road x and magnapacks and they are so damn loud and raspy but I love it and I love the looks people give me when I blow their eardrums out haha

I have the BBK O/R X Pipe... I love it.. Which ever way you choose you will be satisfied.. They both make a extreme difference. I feel like X Pipe gives a more even tone Personally.

+1 on the O/R X. Any cat back should sound good. Just stay away from the SLP LM1s. They make mustangs sound like a z71 IMO.

Here's Flowmaster 40s with catless H.

Sorry it's in a garage, it was in the process of getting detailed and it was windy and dusty outside so I didn't want to back out.

I personally like the sound of the H pipe setups. The deeper tone sounds meaner to me. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one.

+2 prochamber is super nasty even with cats. My 93 cobra I had when I was 17 had BBK shorties/ Mac Prochamber with cats with flowmaster after pipes with the mufflers spawed out for spintec mufflers. My father was standing outside at the house where I grew up at on the cell phone with me and I pegged redline on the onramp well over 2 miles away and he heard me and not just over the phone.. lol. Prochambers are super bad ***.
