Center console clarification.

Hello,

I am currently in the market for a center console for my 1996 GT, which is a 5-speed. The console that I am looking at buying is off an automatic 1996 GT. Before I buy it I would like to be sure that it will fit and that there won't be any problems with the shifter.

Also, for anyone that has done it, how simple is it?
Thank you in advance!

Only problem i can think of is the part where the shift boot sits but i doubt that it would be a problem

The only downside of putting A 1999 through 2004 Center console in a 1996 Mustang GT you going to have a small gap at the back of the center console About an inch or inch and a half @ the back You'll only notice it if you sit in the backseat and really look at it
