If you're working on a lift you can drop the k-member with the motor and trans together. Then roll it out from underneath. If not you can disassemble the trans from the engine, pull the bell housing then lift the motor out.

Is it easier to pull it from the bottom? I have a electric engine hoist and everything.. I'd rather not pull the tranny ya know? Just an engine rebuild

If pulling it out from the bottom you need to drop the k member. You need a lot of room underneath. What trans

I would just pull the trans. Especially a stick. I feel it will make it easier. It really isnt that much more work. Just a bit heavy. LOL.
